I am honored to return as the principal of Oak Creek for the 2023-2024 school year. My name is Linda Donaldson and I am proud to say that this is my 35th year in Harrison School District 2. I started my career in Harrison right out of college. I attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Colorado for my undergraduate work and then attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for my Masters. Teaching and learning have always been my passion! Most people say that the best part of an educator’s job is having the summers off, but I disagree with that statement. The best part of an educator’s job for me is having students and staff in the building. It is exciting to hear and see the learning that takes place throughout the day. When our little people “get” something, they have a huge smile on their faces. When teachers know that they have touched a child’s life, they have a glow about them as well. A school is not a school until it is filled with people, young and old, learning, collaborating, and supporting one another. I have always been a firm believer in “your job title doesn’t matter”. If you work in the building, you have a direct impact on the lives of students. We all come together on the same page to do what is best for our students. # 1 TEAM: 1 GOAL!
I have two adult children of my own and two new puppies, Sassy and Nuggett. When I am not at work, I love to recline and watch shows like House Hunters, the FBI trilogy on Tuesday nights, and sports! I love football! GO BEARS!
I look forward to another great year! Our students are better because of the involvement that we have from our parents and the community.
As a school, we will continue to instill grit and a passion for learning in our students. We will continue to build relationships, collaborate with our families, and set high expectations for all.
We are Oak Creek!
Empower, Inspire and Nurture!
Educationally yours,
Ms. Linda Donaldson
